Anti-PXT1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein peroxisomal testis enriched protein 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 134 amino acid residues and a mass of 16 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the peroxisomes. PXT1 is known to be involved with the regulation of apoptosis. Synonyms for this target antigen include peroxisomal, testis specific 1, small testis-specific peroxisomal protein, and peroxisomal testis-specific protein 1. PXT1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, bovine and chimpanzee species. These PXT1 antibodies are widely used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
