Anti-Death domain associated protein antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene DAXX in humans. The gene may also be known as DAP6, BING2, EAP1, SMIM40, death domain-associated protein 6, and CENP-C binding protein. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 81.4 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, plant, fly, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
