Anti-NRG4 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein neuregulin 4. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 115 amino acid residues and a mass of 12.7 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. A member of the Neuregulin protein family, NRG4 is known to be involved with nervous system development. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation and protein cleavage. Synonyms for this target antigen include heregulin 4, pro-NRG4, and pro-neuregulin-4, membrane-bound isoform. NRG4 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some NRG4 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. ELISA is a widely used application for these antibodies. Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
