Anti-Stannin antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the SNN gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 88 amino acid residues and a mass of 9.5 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the mitochondria. A member of the Stannin protein family, it is reported to play a role in in the toxic effects of organotins. Other names for this target antigen include AG8_1.
