Anti-YME1L antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target YME1L is a known alias name of the protein YME1 like 1 ATPase, encoded by the YME1L1 gene in humans. This 773-amino acid residue protein is reported to be an ATP-dependent metalloprotease that catalyzes the degradation of folded and unfolded proteins with a suitable degron sequence in the mitochondrial intermembrane region. It is localized to the mitochondria of the cell and features cleaved post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be highly expressed in cardiac and skeletal muscle mitochondria. Other synonyms for YME1L include FTSH, FTSH, and MEG4. Indicated applications for YME1L antibodies listed below include ELISA, Flow Cytometry, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
