Anti-TOM5 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the TOM5 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the TOMM5 gene, which encodes translocase of outer mitochondrial membrane 5. The human version of TOM5 has a canonical amino acid length of 51 residues and a protein mass of 6 kilodaltons, although 3 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the mitochondria of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. TOM5 is a member of the Tom5 protein family. Indicated applications for TOM5 antibodies listed below include ELISA and Western Blot.
