Anti-protein tyrosine phosphatase, non-receptor type 20B antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the protein tyrosine phosphatase, non-receptor type 20B antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the PTPN20 gene, which encodes protein tyrosine phosphatase non-receptor type 20. This protein is known to function in protein dephosphorylation, among other biological roles. The human version of protein tyrosine phosphatase, non-receptor type 20B has a canonical amino acid length of 420 residues and a protein mass of 48.4 kilodaltons, although 15 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus and cytoplasm of cells and notably expressed in the testis. Other names for this target antigen include CT126, PTPN20A, and PTPN20B.
