Anti-R4 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the R4 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the CD1A gene, which encodes CD1a molecule. This protein is known to function in adaptive immune responses, among other biological roles. The human version of R4 has a canonical amino acid length of 327 residues and a protein mass of 37.1 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the cell membrane of cells and notably expressed in the tonsil, thymus, and skin. Other names for this target antigen include CD1, FCB6, and HTA1. Western Blot is the most common application for the R4 antibodies listed below. ELISA, Flow Cytometry, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
