Anti-PRA antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target PRA is a known alias name of the protein S100 calcium binding protein A6, encoded by the S100A6 gene in humans. This 90-amino acid residue protein is believed to function as a calcium sensor and modulator, contributing to cellular calcium signaling. It is localized to the cell membrane, nucleus, and cytoplasm of the cell. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. Other synonyms for PRA include 2A9, 5B10, and CABP. ELISA is the most common application for the PRA antibodies listed below. Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
