Anti-TMPK antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target TMPK is a known alias name of the protein deoxythymidylate kinase, encoded by the DTYMK gene in humans. This 212-amino acid residue protein is known to catalyze the phosphorylation of thymidine monophosphate (dTMP) to thymidine diphosphate (dTDP), the immediate precursor for the DNA building block dTTP, with ATP as the preferred phosphoryl donor in the presence of Mg(2+). It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. Other synonyms for TMPK include CDC8, CONPM, and PP3731. Western Blot is the most common application for the TMPK antibodies listed below. ELISA, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
