Anti-STY antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the STY antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the CLK1 gene, which encodes CDC like kinase 1. This protein is known to function in peptidyl-serine phosphorylation and protein phosphorylation, among other biological roles. The human version of STY has a canonical amino acid length of 484 residues and a protein mass of 57.3 kilodaltons, although 3 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus of cells and notably expressed in many tissues, such as the caudate, urinary bladder, and appendix. STY is a member of the CMGC Ser/Thr protein kinase protein family.
