Anti-PTB4 antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The PTB4 antigen is another term for the human protein polypyrimidine tract binding protein 1, encoded by the PTBP1 gene. The protein is reported to play a role in pre-mRNA splicing and in the regulation of alternative splicing events. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 557 residues and a mass of 59.6 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus and it is widely expressed in many tissue types. Other alias names for PTB4 include HNRNP-I, HNRNPI, and HNRPI. Indicated applications for PTB4 antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, Immunofluorescence, Immunoprecipitation, and Immunohistochemistry.
