Anti-HSS1 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the HSS1 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the EMC10 gene, which encodes ER membrane protein complex subunit 10. This protein is known to function in angiogenesis, among other biological roles. The human version of HSS1 has a canonical amino acid length of 262 residues and a protein mass of 27.3 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the ER and is secreted of cells and notably expressed in many tissues, such as the caudate, testis, and breast. HSS1 is a member of the EMC10 protein family.
