Anti-Not antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target Not is a known alias name of the protein nuclear receptor subfamily 4 group A member 2, encoded by the NR4A2 gene in humans. This 598-amino acid residue protein is a reported transcriptional regulator which is important for the differentiation and maintenance of meso-diencephalic dopaminergic (mdDA) neurons during development. It is localized to the nucleus and cytoplasm of the cell. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be expressed in a number of cell lines of T-cell, B-cell and fibroblast origin. Other synonyms for Not include HZF-3 and IDLDP. ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry are common applications for Not antibodies.
