Anti-PNAT3 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target PNAT3 is a known alias name of the protein nicotinamide nucleotide adenylyltransferase 3, encoded by the NMNAT3 gene in humans. This 252-amino acid residue protein is known to catalyze the formation of NAD(+) from nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN) and ATP. It is localized to the mitochondria of the cell. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be expressed in the lung and spleen with lower levels in the placenta and kidney.
