Anti-CNKSR2 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein connector enhancer of kinase suppressor of Ras 2. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 1034 amino acid residues and a mass of 117.5 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the membrane and cytoplasm. Up to 4 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. A member of the CNKSR protein family, CNKSR2 is believed to function as a an adapter protein or regulator of Ras signaling pathways. Post-translational modifications have been described, including phosphorylation. The CNKSR2 gene has been associated with the disease, Intellectual developmental disorder. Synonyms for this target antigen include KSR2, MAGUIN, MRXSHG, CNK homolog protein 2, connector enhancer of KSR2, and CNK2. CNKSR2 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot is the most common application for the CNKSR2 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
