Anti-P1.h antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target P1.h is a known alias name of the protein minichromosome maintenance complex component 3, encoded by the MCM3 gene in humans. This 808-amino acid residue protein is known to act as component of the MCM2-7 complex (MCM complex) which is the replicative helicase essential for 'once per cell cycle' DNA replication initiation and elongation in eukaryotic cells. It is localized to the nucleus and chromosomes of the cell and features O-glycosylated and acetylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be expressed in many tissues, such as the bone marrow and placenta. Other synonyms for P1.h include HCC5, P1-MCM3, and P1.h. Western Blot is the most common application for the P1.h antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
