Anti-NA1/NA2 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target NA1/NA2 is a known alias name of the protein clusterin, encoded by the CLU gene in humans. This 449-amino acid residue protein is known to function as extracellular chaperone that prevents aggregation of non native proteins. It is localized to the cytoplasmic vesicles and is secreted of the cell and features N-glycosylated, ubiquitinated, cleaved and sulfated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is notably expressed in blood plasma, cerebrospinal fluid, milk, seminal plasma and colon mucosa. Other synonyms for NA1/NA2 include AAG4, APO-J, and APOJ. Some NA1/NA2 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
