Anti-NDEL1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein nudE neurodevelopment protein 1 like 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 345 amino acid residues and a mass of 38.4 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is reported to be expressed in the brain, heart, kidney, liver, lung, pancreas, placenta and skeletal muscle. A member of the NudE protein family, NDEL1 is known to be required for organization of the cellular microtubule array and microtubule anchoring at the centrosome. Synonyms for this target antigen include endooligopeptidase A, mitosin-associated protein 1, mitosin-associated protein MITAP1, nudE nuclear distribution E homolog-like 1, and nuclear distribution protein nudE-like 1. NDEL1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of NDEL1 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. Immunofluorescence and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
