Anti-EAPI antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the EAPI antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the ADAM7 gene, which encodes ADAM metallopeptidase domain 7. This protein is known to function in proteolysis, among other biological roles. The human version of EAPI has a canonical amino acid length of 754 residues and a protein mass of 85.7 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the membrane of cells and notably expressed in the epididymis. Indicated applications for EAPI antibodies listed below include ELISA and Immunohistochemistry.
