Anti-MACF antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target MACF is a known alias name of the protein microtubule actin crosslinking factor 1, encoded by the MACF1 gene in humans. This 7388-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in cytoskeleton organization and the Wnt signaling pathway, among other biological processes. It is localized to the cell membrane, Golgi, and cytoplasm of the cell and features phosphorylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. Other synonyms for MACF include ABP620, ACF7, and KIAA0754.
