Anti-M-LPH antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the M-LPH antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the MPV17L gene, which encodes MPV17 mitochondrial inner membrane protein like. This protein is known to function in the regulation of apoptosis, among other biological roles. The human version of M-LPH has a canonical amino acid length of 196 residues and a protein mass of 22.1 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. M-LPH is a member of the Peroxisomal membrane protein PXMP2/4 protein family.
