Anti-L40 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the L40 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the UBA52 gene, which encodes ubiquitin A-52 residue ribosomal protein fusion product 1. This protein is known to function in protein translation and protein ubiquitination, among other biological roles. The human version of L40 has a canonical amino acid length of 128 residues and a protein mass of 14.7 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus and cytoplasm of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include CEP52 and HUBCEP52. A number of L40 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Immunohistochemistry is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Western Blot are also common applications.
