Anti-MAC-2-BP antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target MAC-2-BP is a known alias name of the protein galectin 3 binding protein, encoded by the LGALS3BP gene in humans. This 585-amino acid residue protein is reported to promote integrin-mediated cell adhesion. It is localized to the extracellular matrix and is secreted of the cell and features glycosylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is ubiquitously expressed across many tissue types. Other synonyms for MAC-2-BP include 90K, BTBD17B, and CyCAP. Indicated applications for MAC-2-BP antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry.
