Anti-GPDH-C antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the GPDH-C antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the GPD1 gene, which encodes glycerol-3-phosphate dehydrogenase 1. This protein is known to function in TNF-mediated cellular signaling pathways and the metabolism of lipids, among other biological roles. The human version of GPDH-C has a canonical amino acid length of 349 residues and a protein mass of 37.6 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasm of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include GPD-C and HTGTI.
