Anti-HSST3 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the HSST3 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the NDST3 gene, which encodes N-deacetylase and N-sulfotransferase 3. This protein is known to be an important bifunctional enzyme that catalyzes both the N-deacetylation and the N-sulfation of glucosamine (GlcNAc) of the glycosaminoglycan in heparan sulfate. The human version of HSST3 has a canonical amino acid length of 873 residues and a protein mass of 100.9 kilodaltons, although 3 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the Golgi of cells. This target antigen may also be known as bifunctional heparan sulfate N-deacetylase/N-sulfotransferase 3.
