Anti-Jp1 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the Jp1 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the JPH1 gene, which encodes junctophilin 1. This protein is known to function in the transport of ions and muscle organ development, among other biological roles. The human version of Jp1 has a canonical amino acid length of 661 residues and a protein mass of 71.7 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the ER and cell membrane of cells and notably expressed in the skeletal muscle and testis. Jp1 is a member of the Junctophilin protein family.
