Anti-BBBG1 antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The BBBG1 antigen is another term for the human protein midline 1, encoded by the MID1 gene. The protein is known to have E3 ubiquitin ligase activity towards IGBP1, promoting its monoubiquitination, which results in deprotection of the catalytic subunit of protein phosphatase PP2A, and its subsequent degradation by polyubiquitination. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 667 residues and a mass of 75.3 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm and it is expressed in many tissues, such as the caudate, tonsil, and appendix. The BBBG1 protein is a member of the TRIM/RBCC protein family. Other alias names for BBBG1 include FXY. Some BBBG1 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Indicated applications for the antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry.
