Anti-LRRC48 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the LRRC48 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the DRC3 gene, which encodes dynein regulatory complex subunit 3. This protein is a known component of the nexin-dynein regulatory complex (N-DRC) a key regulator of ciliary/flagellar motility which maintains the alignment and integrity of the distal axoneme and regulates microtubule sliding in motile axonemes. The human version of LRRC48 has a canonical amino acid length of 523 residues and a protein mass of 61.1 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasm of cells and notably expressed in the fallopian tube. LRRC48 is a member of the DRC3 protein family.
