Anti-CACH antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target CACH is a known alias name of the protein eukaryotic translation initiation factor 2B subunit epsilon, encoded by the EIF2B5 gene in humans. This 721-amino acid residue protein is known to catalyze the exchange of eukaryotic initiation factor 2-bound GDP for GTP. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types.
