Anti-ENSAL antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the ENSAL antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the ARPP19 gene, which encodes cAMP regulated phosphoprotein 19. This protein is known to function in the cell cycle, among other biological roles. The human version of ENSAL has a canonical amino acid length of 112 residues and a protein mass of 12.3 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasm of cells and notably expressed in the placenta, pancreas, cerebral cortex, and adrenal gland. Other names for this target antigen include ARPP-16, ARPP-16, and ARPP16.
