Anti-CG-beta-a antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the CG-beta-a antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the CGB7 gene, which encodes chorionic gonadotropin subunit beta 7. This protein is known to function in the apoptotic pathway and cell to cell signaling, among other biological roles. The human version of CG-beta-a has a canonical amino acid length of 165 residues and a protein mass of 17.8 kilodaltons. It is reported to be a secreted protein that is notably expressed in the placenta and testis. CG-beta-a is a member of the Glycoprotein hormones subunit beta protein family. Western Blot is the most common application for the CG-beta-a antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
