Anti-CG-8 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target CG-8 is a known alias name of the protein actin binding transcription modulator, encoded by the ABITRAM gene in humans. This 181-amino acid residue protein is reported to be an actin-binding protein that regulates actin polymerization, filopodia dynamics and increases the branching of proximal dendrites of developing neurons. It is localized to the nucleus of the cell.
