Anti-CG-2 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target CG-2 is a known alias name of the protein transmembrane protein 245, encoded by the TMEM245 gene in humans. This 879-amino acid residue protein is a member of the Autoinducer-2 exporter (AI-2E) (TC 2.A.86) protein family. It is localized to the membrane of the cell and features glycosylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is widely expressed across many tissue types.
