Anti-ATPIR antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target ATPIR is a known alias name of the protein ATPase phospholipid transporting 11B (putative), encoded by the ATP11B gene in humans. This 1177-amino acid residue protein is reported to be a catalytic component of a P4-ATPase flippase complex which catalyzes the hydrolysis of ATP coupled to the transport of aminophospholipids, phosphatidylserines (PS) and phosphatidylethanolamines (PE), from the outer to the inner leaflet of intracellular membranes. It is localized to the ER and Golgi of the cell. Other synonyms for ATPIR include ATPIF and phospholipid-transporting ATPase IF. Indicated applications for ATPIR antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry.
