Anti-A15 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target A15 is a known alias name of the protein tetraspanin 7, encoded by the TSPAN7 gene in humans. This 249-amino acid residue protein is suspected to be involved in cell proliferation and cell motility. It is localized to the membrane of the cell and features glycosylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be expressed in many tissues, such as the colon and duodenum.
