Anti-A-LAP antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the A-LAP antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the ERAP1 gene, which encodes endoplasmic reticulum aminopeptidase 1. This protein is known to function in adaptive immune responses and angiogenesis, among other biological roles. The human version of A-LAP has a canonical amino acid length of 941 residues and a protein mass of 107.2 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the ER of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. A-LAP is a member of the Peptidase M1 protein family.
