Anti-alpha-2-antiplasmin antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target alpha-2-antiplasmin is a known alias name of the protein serpin family F member 2, encoded by the SERPINF2 gene in humans. This 491-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in the regulation of cell differentiation, among other biological processes. The protein is secreted and features cleaved and glycosylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is notably expressed by the liver and secreted in plasma. Other synonyms for alpha-2-antiplasmin include A2AP, AAP, and ALPHA-2-PI. ELISA is a widely used application for the alpha-2-antiplasmin antibodies listed below. In addition, Western Blot is also a common application.
