Anti-PLCe antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the PLCe antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the PLCL1 gene, which encodes phospholipase C like 1 (inactive). This protein is known to function in intracellular signal transduction and the metabolism of lipids, among other biological roles. The human version of PLCe has a canonical amino acid length of 1095 residues and a protein mass of 122.7 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasm of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types.
