Anti-p58.2 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target p58.2 is a known alias name of the protein killer cell immunoglobulin like receptor, two Ig domains and long cytoplasmic tail 2, encoded by the KIR2DL2 gene in humans. This 348-amino acid residue protein is a known receptor on natural killer (NK) cells for HLA-Cw1, 3, 7, and 8 allotypes. It is localized to the cell membrane of the cell and features glycosylated post-translational modifications. Other synonyms for p58.2 include CD158B1, CD158b, and NKAT-6.
