Anti-TIF1 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target TIF1 is a known alias name of the protein tripartite motif containing 24, encoded by the TRIM24 gene in humans. This 1050-amino acid residue protein is reported to be a transcriptional coactivator that interacts with numerous nuclear receptors and coactivators and modulates the transcription of target genes. It is localized to the nucleus, mitochondria, and cytoplasm of the cell and features ubiquitinated, sumoylated and phosphorylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be expressed in many tissues, such as the duodenum, vagina, and colon. Other synonyms for TIF1 include PTC6, RNF82, and TF1A. Western Blot is the most common application for the TIF1 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
