Anti-CK15 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the CK15 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the KRT15 gene, which encodes keratin 15. This protein is known to function in epidermis development and epithelial cell differentiation, among other biological roles. The human version of CK15 has a canonical amino acid length of 456 residues and a protein mass of 49.2 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be notably expressed in many tissues, such as the breast and bronchus. Other names for this target antigen include K15 and K1CO.
