Anti-LFABP antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target LFABP is a known alias name of the protein fatty acid binding protein 1, encoded by the FABP1 gene in humans. This 127-amino acid residue protein is reported to play a role in lipoprotein-mediated cholesterol uptake in hepatocytes. It is localized to the cytoplasm of the cell. It is reported to be expressed in the liver, kidney, duodenum, colon, and appendix. Other synonyms for LFABP include FABPL and fatty acid-binding protein, liver. Western Blot is the most common application for the LFABP antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
