Anti-11beta-HSD1 antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The 11beta-HSD1 antigen is another term for the human protein hydroxysteroid 11-beta dehydrogenase 1, encoded by the HSD11B1 gene. The protein is known to function in lung development, among other biological roles. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 292 residues and a mass of 32.4 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the ER and it is reported to be widely expressed, highest expression in the liver, lower in testis, ovary, lung, foreskin fibroblasts, and much lower in the kidney. The 11beta-HSD1 protein is a member of the Short-chain dehydrogenases/reductases (SDR) protein family. Other alias names for 11beta-HSD1 include 11-DH and CORTRD2. Western Blot is the most common application for the 11beta-HSD1 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
