Anti-Troy antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target Troy is a known alias name of the protein TNF receptor superfamily member 19, encoded by the TNFRSF19 gene in humans. This 423-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in the apoptotic pathway and hair follicle development, among other biological processes. It is localized to the membrane of the cell and features glycosylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be highly expressed in prostate. A number of Troy antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, Immunohistochemistry is also a common application.
