Anti-p120ctn antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target p120ctn is a known alias name of the protein catenin delta 1, encoded by the CTNND1 gene in humans. This 968-amino acid residue protein is a reported key regulator of cell-cell adhesion that associates with and regulates the cell adhesion properties of both C-, E- and N-cadherins, being critical for their surface stability. It is localized to the cell membrane, nucleus, and cytoplasm of the cell and features phosphorylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be expressed in vascular endothelium. Other synonyms for p120ctn include BCDS2, CAS, and CTNND. Some p120ctn antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
