Anti-azurocidin antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target azurocidin is a known alias name of the protein azurocidin 1, encoded by the AZU1 gene in humans. This 251-amino acid residue protein is a neutrophil granule-derived antibacterial and monocyte- and fibroblast-specific chemotactic glycoprotein. It is localized to the membrane and cytoplasm of the cell and features cleaved and glycosylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be expressed in the testis, spleen, lymph node, bone marrow, and appendix. Other synonyms for azurocidin include AZAMP, AZU, and CAP37. Indicated applications for azurocidin antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
