Anti-CC16 antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The CC16 antigen is another term for the human protein secretoglobin family 1A member 1, encoded by the SCGB1A1 gene. The protein is known to bind phosphatidylcholine, phosphatidylinositol, polychlorinated biphenyls (PCB) and weakly progesterone, potent inhibitor of phospholipase A2. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 91 residues and a mass of 10 kilodaltons. It is a secreted protein and it is expressed in the bronchus. The CC16 protein is a member of the Secretoglobin protein family. Other alias names for CC16 include CC10 and CCPBP. Indicated applications for CC16 antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
