Anti-METTL2 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target METTL2 is a known alias name of the protein methyltransferase 2A, tRNA N3-cytidine, encoded by the METTL2A gene in humans. This 378-amino acid residue protein is reported to be a S-adenosyl-L-methionine-dependent methyltransferase that mediates N(3)-methylcytidine modification of residue 32 of the tRNA anticodon loop of tRNA(Thr)(UGU) and tRNA(Arg)(CCU). It is localized to the cytoplasm of the cell.
