Anti-EAPII antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the EAPII antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the TDP2 gene, which encodes tyrosyl-DNA phosphodiesterase 2. This protein is known to function in receptor-mediated signaling pathways and neuronal development, among other biological roles. The human version of EAPII has a canonical amino acid length of 362 residues and a protein mass of 40.9 kilodaltons, although 3 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus and cytoplasm of cells and notably expressed in many tissues, such as the appendix and colon. Other names for this target antigen include AD022 and EAP2. Western Blot is the most common application for the EAPII antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
